Our forecast is being confirmed. the harvest will very likely start around August 25th.. As of now we are two weeks ahead ona ten-year average.
Since the flowering (June10th) climatic conditions have remained healthy and mostly summery, meaning vegetation could grow quickly without the stress of a cryptogamic disease (mildew, oidium) outbreak.
In view of such ideal conditions, daily checks of vines have enabled us to delay some phytosanitary treatments over the period while using organic products.
At present bunches on the different varieties are growing to a good size while fully enjoying the sunshine.
Nature can still offer a few surprises towards the end but if the weather maintains summer temperatures and high pressures to keep thunderstorms away, we can expect a high quality harvest.
