Produced in small quantities, this cuvée is made of chardonnay from selected old vines from one of our Côte des Blancs grand crus in Cramant. It covers three pretigious plots in the local terroir : Les Bourons, Les Busons and Les Gouttes d'Or, Les Fourches du midi, Les Moyens du couchant, etc. Their chalky soil produces great quality grapes. .
Grapes have grown in optimal weather during August and prior to the harvest bunches were in excellent sanitary condition.
Our vineyard started grape collection on 14 September 2009.
Pressing yielded high quality juices with perfect balance and noticeable sugar and acidity levels.

Good hetereogenity between parcels on the same hillside.
Features of fresh fruit, grapefruit or more evolved such a pear and pineapple aromas.
2009 wines appear unctuous, rich and structured.
Colour is brilliant pale gold with plentiful fine bubbles catching the eye before tasting.
The nose is pure and mineral, free of tricks, with a chalky-creamy side unique to Cramant, whose terroir cuvée Marie so well expresses.
In the mouth, this straightforward wine with a low dosage of 4 g/l is further testimony to the typicity of the Cramant terroir by disclosing its minerality and slight salinity.
Over time, this wine will confirm its ampleness, finesse and delicacy. Its fullness brings further authenticity to the definition and expression of Cramant's terroir.
